Arper China considers the protection of personal data of third parties, in its possession, as very important and is committed to protect the privacy of said third parties included, but not limited to, its customers, when carrying on its business, and it pays particular attention to the security and confidentiality of its customers' personal data.

Rules for collection and use of personal data


A. Data that may be collected

The following categories of personal data relating to you may be collected:

(a) contact data – information on your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, email address;

(b) interests – information you have provided regarding areas that interest you, for example products you find interesting;

(c) other personal data – information you have provided regarding your date of birth, education, professional situation and household details;

(d) social log-in – information related to your social account as well as other data you have given to the social network used to log in to the website, which may be disclosed according to the privacy preferences that you have set on the relevant social network;

Arper China collects and processes your personal data in the following circumstances:

(b) if you contact us to request pre-sales or after-sales assistance;

(c) if you respond to our marketing activities (for example when you complete a reply card or submit your data online on one of our websites);

(d) if you fill out paper forms of registration that are collected in various ways (during fairs, promotions or events);

(e) if another company which is part of the Arper Group (as defined below) or one of our business partners provides data about you in a manner that is either permitted by law or consented to;

C. For what purposes can your personal data be used

The processing of personal data must be justified by one of the purposes described below.

(a) Establishment and performance of contractual obligations and consequent obligations, including communication regarding services (for example for the performance of after-sales services).

Arper China may process your contact data in order to establish and perform a contractual relationship, provide services requested or respond to reports or complaints.

(b) Operational management and strictly-related purposes, for access to the website, particularly secure areas.

We will sign strict confidentiality agreements with such employees and external service providers in order to request them to process personal data pursuant to our requirements, this Privacy Policy and other relevant applicable confidentiality and security measures.

For the purposes of the performance of their activities and to follow up on the abovementioned purposes your personal data may also be accessed by other Arper Group companies.

In addition, we may share your personal data with other external parties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, or mandatory requirements by governmental authorities.

(b) Transfer

We will not transfer your personal data to any company, organization or individual save where:

How we keep your personal data safe


Arper China uses a wide range of security measures to improve protection and maintain the security, integrity and accessibility of your personal data.

All your personal data are stored on our secure servers (or on secure paper copies) or on those of our service providers or commercial partners, and may be accessed and used based on our standards and our security policies (or equivalent standards for our service providers or commercial partners).

The security measures we have adopted include:

(a) severe restrictions on access to your personal data, based on necessity and solely for the purposes communicated;

(b) perimeter security systems to prevent unauthorized external access;

(c) permanent monitoring of access to IT systems to identify and stop the misuse of personal data;

(d) tracking of access to your personal data by internal personnel and verification of the related purpose;

How long we store your information for

When you delete your data in our services, we may not immediately delete corresponding data in our backup system, but we will delete such data when our backup system is updated.

The completion of each business function requires certain basic personal data. You could grant or revoke your authorization consent at any time for the collection and use of the additionally collected personal data.

When you revoke your consent, we will no longer process your corresponding personal data. However, this decision to revoke your authorization will not affect previous personal data processing with your authorization.

In principle, the personal data we collect and generate within the territory of the People's Republic of China will be stored in the territory of the People's Republic of China.

However, your personal data may be transferred to, accessed or processed by Arper Italy, and/or any external or third party service providers duly appointed by Arper Italy. In such cases and where applicable, your personal data will be protected under European Union’s Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
